The 10th International Conference on Languages for Specific Purposes in Higher Education Held at FON

The 10th International Conference on Languages for Specific Purposes in Higher Education (LSPHE 2025) was held on September 12–13, 2025, at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade.

This year’s conference marked the 10th anniversary of the LSPHE series and brought together around 30 participants from more than 10 countries of the world. The program featured two keynote speeches, two workshops, and 23 paper presentations, all focusing on the theme “The Evolving Landscape of Languages for Specific Purposes in Higher Education”. The theme of this year’s conference reflects the many changes and challenges the LSP field is facing today – from digital transformation to new professional demands, from the role of AI to the global need for specialized communication skills.

The conference was officially opened by Professor Marko Mihić, Dean of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, and David Tual, Cercles LSP Focus Group Coordinator and the Director of the Centre for Languages and Inter-Communication at the Cambridge University Department of Engineering, who has played a key role in the development of the LSPHE conference series. The opening ceremony also included a performance by the Svetlana Spajić Ensemble, presenting traditional Serbian vocal music.

Despite challenges in the organizational process, the event successfully gathered a strong community of researchers, educators, and practitioners, offering a platform for exchange of ideas and collaboration in the field of Languages for Specific Purposes.
