Isidora Gaćeša, Teaching Associate at the Department of Operations Research and Statistics, participated in the international summer school “Optimization under Uncertainty” in June 2026, held at the University of Edinburgh.

The summer school was organized by the National Taught Course Centre in Operational Research (NATCOR), bringing together PhD students, young researchers, and academics from several countries. During the intensive programme, participants had the opportunity to attend lectures delivered by leading experts and learn about contemporary approaches to stochastic and robust optimization, data-driven optimization, and decision-support models for decision-making under uncertainty. The programme also included practical workshops, case study analysis, and discussions on current research challenges. Upon successfully completing the programme and passing the evaluation test, Gaćeša received a certificate. Her participation was made possible through a full scholarship awarded by the European Association of Operational Research Societies (EURO).

Dr Jelena Andreja Radaković, Research Associate at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, participated from 6 to 10 July 2026 in the international summer school ARTIFACT Summer School 2026 – “Modelling Urban Floods and Nature-based Solutions with Physics & AI”, held at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) and the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands.

The summer school was organized by TU Delft, the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, and the Research and Development Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia, as part of the international Horizon Europe programme. The programme focused on contemporary approaches to urban flood modelling, the application of artificial intelligence in risk management, and strengthening urban resilience.
Participants learned about the integration of physics-based models and artificial intelligence methods, the fundamentals of hydrological and 1D–2D modelling, as well as the application of machine learning to flood modelling. The programme also included practical sessions and a professional study visit to Rotterdam, where examples of urban water management and climate adaptation were presented.

Petar Graovac, Teaching Associate at the Department of Operations Research and Statistics, participated from 22 July to 5 August 2026 in the “Summer School on Sports and Cultural Exchange”, organized by Shandong University as part of the consortium of higher education institutions from China and the Central and Eastern European countries (China–CEEC).

The fifteen-day programme was held in three cities in Shandong Province – Jinan, Weifang, and Weihai – and included a variety of academic, practical, and cultural activities. Participants attended academic seminars at Shandong University, took part in practical training in traditional martial arts and Chinese language classes, and participated in demonstrations of modern scientific equipment, including EEG measurements, virtual reality, and sensor systems. The programme also included fieldwork focused on intangible cultural heritage, while all instruction was conducted in English. Students from several Central and Eastern European countries participated in the programme.

Dr Jelena Andreja Radaković, Research Associate at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, participated from 7 to 11 September 2026 in the International Summer School, organized by the Faculty of Organizational Sciences at the University of Kranj. This year’s theme was “Organization, Management and Society”, and as part of the summer school, she delivered a workshop entitled “Eco-Detectives Workshop”.

As part of the 16th International Summer School “AI in Action: Rethinking Enterprise”, organized by the Faculty of Economics – Skopje, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, professors from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences delivered online lectures on the application of artificial intelligence in business.
Prof. Dr Zorica Bogdanović delivered the lecture “Selected AI in Business Topics”, while Prof. Dr Dragan Vukmirović delivered the lecture “AI & Data Analysis for Managers: Generative AI, AI–Supported Data Workflows and Responsible Managerial Decision–Making”.
The participation of teachers and teaching associates from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in international programmes provides opportunities for professional development, knowledge and experience exchange with colleagues from different countries, as well as for networking and developing new academic collaborations.
