The students worked on a case study for ALDI, a retail chain operating in 18 different countries around the world through 12,500 stores. The task was to create a scalable, innovative business strategy for further expansion of the company’s portfolio into new markets.
As part of their solution, the team proposed a sustainable growth strategy focusing on the Chinese market. The strategy included the expansion of the physical store network in strategic urban centers, the establishment of an advanced logistics infrastructure through regional warehouses, as well as digital customer acquisition via local e-commerce platforms and mobile applications. Special emphasis was placed on connecting with consumers at all relevant touchpoints while maintaining operational efficiency and ALDI’s recognizable model.
