Ceremonial Session of the FON Faculty Council Held to Mark Faculty Day

As part of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences (FON) Faculty Day celebrations, a ceremonial session of the Faculty Council was held today, chaired by Prof. Dejan Petrovic, PhD, President of the Faculty Council.

This year, FON celebrates two significant milestones: 57 years since its founding and 55 years since the beginning of teaching. On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Marko Mihic, PhD, presented the Faculty’s development to date, its most significant results and achievements, as well as its priorities and future development directions.

During the ceremonial session, awards were presented to employees marking significant work anniversaries at FON this year, in recognition of their long-standing commitment, dedication and contribution to the Faculty’s development.

A special part of the programme was dedicated to the presentation of Golden Diplomas, marking 50 years since graduation from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences. This distinction was awarded to Prof. Maja Levi Jaksic, PhD, and Prof. Konstantin Kostic, PhD, in recognition of their generation and their lasting connection with the Faculty.

The programme continued with the presentation of financial awards to the Faculty’s highest-achieving students. Prof. Dušan Savic, PhD, Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs, presented the awards in recognition of outstanding academic performance. A total of 28 students from four generations received financial awards this year.

Over more than five decades, the Faculty of Organizational Sciences has established itself as one of the leading higher education and research institutions in the fields of information technology and management. Through the continuous advancement of its educational and research activities, as well as the development of cooperation with industry, FON continues to contribute to the academic community and society as a whole.

The ceremonial session of the Faculty Council provided an opportunity to reflect on the Faculty’s achievements to date, recognize the contributions and accomplishments of its employees and students, and reaffirm the importance of maintaining strong ties with all generations that have contributed to the Faculty’s establishment and development.
