Prof. Dr. Vesna Damnjanovic was named the winner in the Marketing Scientist Award category for marketing education through the development and application of the Business Case Solving MethodologyVD at FON. This teaching approach combines knowledge from marketing management and communications, an innovative way of thinking used in solving business case studies, as well as talent and career development for students through mentoring between academia and company representatives. The competition had 145 applicants from 18 CEE countries, and the selection was made by an international jury of over 40 experts from 15 countries.
The application highlights 20 years of work experience of Prof. Dr. Vesna Damnjanović and her team, showcasing the best practices in teaching at FON through the example of the Sales Management course. Additionally, it explains how this methodology is applied in working with students in extracurricular activities: on projects at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade, and the Business Case Association SEE: BBICC and High School Case Competition. The main advantage of this approach for different target groups is emphasized: high school students, domestic and international students, and industry representatives.
The award received is a confirmation of high-quality work that successfully connects theory and practice for all members of the Department of Marketing Management and Communications at FON and provides further motivation to advance the marketing profession in the region. Much gratitude goes to the Dean and the Vice Dean team at FON who supported all the mentioned activities.
