Visit to the University of Salento within the Erasmus+ project U2SID

Within the Erasmus+ project “Accelerating Digital Innovation and Growth with the Right digital skills” – U2SID, Professor of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Dr. Sladjana Benkovic, the project coordinator for the University of Belgrade, and Professor Dr. Sladjana Barjaktarovic Rakocevic participated in the second workshop held at the University of Salento in Italy from April 15th to 19th, 2024. This workshop represents a horizontal transfer of knowledge related to digitization and the impact of artificial intelligence on the development of science. The aim of the workshop was to familiarize participants from Albanian and Montenegrin universities with the latest methods that should accelerate the digitization process at partner universities of this project.

On the first day, all attendees were greeted by Professor Fabio Police, the rector of the University of Salento, and other representatives of the university and departments. This was followed by 2 extremely interesting lectures on the impact of artificial intelligence on project development and ethical challenges. Next was a project meeting led by the project coordinator, Professor Brikene Dionisi.

On the second day, after the welcoming speech by Professor Valentine Ndou, who is also the project manager at the University of Salento for the U2SID project, a series of lectures dedicated to the changes brought by digitization were held, with celebrated speakers contributing to scientific research results.

The last day of the workshop was reserved for networking and discussion with professors from the University of Salento, as well as a visit to the university campus and laboratories.
