Visit of the FOS Students and Staff to the Berlin School of Economics and Law within the COIL Project: Data Analysis in Finance and Marketing

As part of the cooperation between the Faculty of Organizational Sciences and the Berlin School of Economics and Law, the final phase of the two-year COIL project on the topic “Data Analysis in Finance and Marketing” was carried out. The project began in October 2024, and with the visit of FOS professors and students to the partner institution in Berlin, held from 8th to 12th October 2025, the project was officially concluded. The FOS student team was led by Associate Professor dr. Milica Maričić, together with teaching assistant Nikola Drinjak, and consisted of eight undergraduate students: Ana Budišin, Tamara Beatović, Filip Ilić, Mihajlo Rakić, Anja Radulović, Miloš Damnjanović, Igor Legetić, and Kristina Ivanković.

The aim of this visit was to finalize the joint work of professors and students from both institutions on improving knowledge and skills in data analytics in finance and marketing. The program included lectures delivered by Professor Dr. Frank Brand and the FOS lecturing team, group work, as well as presentations of a case study that students had been solving in teams over the past two months.

During the five-day stay, professors and students had the opportunity to work together in advanced data analysis workshops, as well as to participate in social activities and visit the Startup Incubator, the German Parliament building, the Berlin City Museum, and the German History Museum.

The collaboration between the Faculty of Organizational Sciences and the Berlin School of Economics and Law on this project has proven to be very successful. Through its implementation, students and professors enhanced their knowledge and skills, developed intercultural competences, and strengthened international academic ties. These results provide a solid foundation for continuing and further improving joint activities in the future.
