The development and implementation of the training program, as well as the certification of employees in the innovation sector, are carried out by the Technical University of Munich International (TUMInt), the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, and the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED). Of particular importance is the involvement of the German partner TUMInt, bringing expertise and experience from one of the most advanced innovation ecosystems in Europe. The project was initiated by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia.
The “Innoleaders” project will last for two years and will include:
- Mapping the existing knowledge and skills of employees in Serbia’s innovation sector,
- Developing a competency framework to enhance innovation activities, and
- Designing and delivering training programs that will provide systemic and long-term support to those leading innovation processes in Serbia.
The training will target three groups of managers:
- Innovation Leaders – executives and deputy executives of various ecosystem entities with formal authority to shape future development directions of their own and other support organizations within the ecosystem.
- Knowledge Brokers – coordinators and organizers within the ecosystem who connect users with relevant resources, such as mentors, investors, partners, and educators.
- Innovation Specialists – operational and administrative professionals implementing program activities within support organizations, providing technical and organizational assistance to innovation program users.
The significance of the “Innoleaders” project lies in its contribution to the professionalization and visibility of innovation managers, the strengthening of trust in their competencies, and the promotion of their mobility and networking within the ecosystem. In the long run, this framework will serve as a foundation for the continuous learning and career development of professionals driving Serbia’s innovation ecosystem growth.
