Students of the Faculty participated in the Case IT conference in Varaždin

The Student Union of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics University of Zagreb from Varaždin, and Business Club@FOI successfully organized a conference named Case IT in the period from 23 to 24 February 2023. During the two days of the conference, the participants could hear various experiences and advice from experts from the economy. Students of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, accompanied by teaching assistants Stefan Krstović and Anđelija Đorđević Tomić, attended the conference and actively participated in it. Members of the FOS student organization Case Study Club, Luka Lugonjić, Aleksandra Krstajić, Dušan Višnjić, and Teodora Pristovšek, held workshops in which they shared their experiences from the competition.

On the first day of the conference, employees from IBM iX Croatia delivered a lecture on the topic of employment, in which they emphasized the importance of a good CV and elaborated on the ways to create it, talked about the importance of a motivation letter as well as how student activism and membership in various student organizations are viewed.

On the second day, members of the FOS student organization Case Study Club held workshops that emphasized the importance of case studies for future work results, how they can be implemented in regular education, what the path through this organization looks like from the selection process, through competitions to the management of the organization, and what benefits it can bring once the students enter the labor market.

In the afternoon of the second day, participants had the opportunity to attend lectures on digitalization and why the IT sector is important in today’s world, as well as to participate in a discussion on the role of IT in creating sustainable solutions and environmental protection. At the end of the conference, students participated in group activities to design website optimization using SEO tools. The conference was closed by a speech delivered by the President of the Student Union, Eugen Petošić.
