Professor Vesna Damnjanovic of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences has been awarded with the prestigious Saint Sava Award for 2017.

On Saturday 27.01.2018. associate professor at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Vesna Damnjanovic, has become the holder of the Saint Sava Award for 2017, one of the most prestigious awards granted by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, as a recognition of the contribution to the quality of education, improvement of teaching methods and the development of scientific achievements in the field of education and teaching in the Republic of Serbia.Over the last 15 years dr. Damnjanovic has been preparing talented to students to compete in national, regional and international business case competitions. She is also the founder and the managing director of the great international business case competition, Belgrade Business Case Competition, which is ranked to be in the top 12 competitions worldwide. Aside from that, she has an extensive experience in mentoring winning teams of FOS at international case competitions. Dr. Damnjanovic was granted with Saint Sava Award for the outstanding results achieved in academic field of working with students and promoting the new interactive methods of teaching and learning.

The official awarding ceremony was held on 27.01.2017. in the Government of the Republic of Serbia and later the National Theatre for the Saint Sava Academy, attended by many ministers, religious leaders and diplomatic representatives. In addition, dr. Vesna Damnjanovic attended the Saint Sava Award ceremony with Aleksandra Drecun, the president of the Harvard Club for Serbia, who nominated Vesna for this prestigious award.

Saint Sava Award was given to 23 individuals and organizations, who, with their hard work and achievements, have stood out in the field of education and teaching. Congratulations to our dear colleague and we are very thankful for everything she has done for the Faculty of Organizational Sciences and the University of Belgrade! We wish her a lot of happiness in her future work with students!
