This year, the largest Association of consulting professionals, industry experts and students in Southeast Europe Case Study Club in cooperation with the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade has organized the fifth competition in solving a business case study for high school students – High School Case Competition.
Due to epidemiological circumstances, the competition was held in an online format, while only the finals, with respect to all epidemiological measures, were held at the premises of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences.
The competition lasted from December 6th to December 18th , and the Event itself was opened on December 6th by Lazar Sević, president of the Executive Board at Case Study Club, as well as Katarina Ristanović, president of High School Case Competition 2021.
For this occasion participants were also greeted by Professor Dušan Savić, Vice-Dean for Undergraduate Studies at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Professor Vesna Damnjanović, founder of Case Study Club, as well as Nemanja Jevtović, president of the Board of Directors at Case Study Club.
This year’s coordinators were Anja Tomović, who was in charge for the Marketing & PR Team and Implementation and Development Team and Nađa Stevanović, who was a coordinator for Human Resources Team and the Team for External Affairs.
The partner of this year’s competition was Xiaomi Serbia, and this year the task was about it’s independent brand POCO. The topic of the Case Study, Marketing innovative positioning of Xiaomi and Poco brand from the perspective of high school students, set a goal for Generation Z to analyze the mentioned brands and influencers with whom the values of these two brands would be best communicated and not only to come up with a creative and sustainable solution, but to develop the skills in business, decision-taking, digital transformation and analyzing.
During the competition, high school students had the opportunity to work on two blocks of educational workshops on topics related to the Case Study, digital marketing, presentation making, but also the topic of competition analysis, numbers and graphics at a workshop held by Miloš Milosavljević, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences from the Department of Financial Management and Accounting.
261 students from all parts of Serbia took part in this year’s competition. 42 teams, divided into 6 divisions, placed in the semi-finals, and presented their solutions to members of the jury in an online format.
The best team from each division, made it to the finals, and 6 teams presented their solution live at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences.
In addition to prominent Alumni members and members of the Board of Directors of the Case Study Club, in the semi-finals the jury members also included: Professor Zorica Bogdanović from the Department of E-Business, Professor Marija Jović and Dejana Nikolić from the Department of Marketing Management and Public Relations, Docent Marko Ćirović from the Department of Management of Technology, Innovations and Sustainable Development, Docent Dragana Stojanović from the Department of Industrial and Management Engineering and Professor Veljko Dmitrović from the Department of Financial Management and Accounting.
In the finals, the jury was consisted of : Professor Vesna Damnjanović, founder of Case Study Club, Nemanja Jevtović, president of the Board of Directors at Case Study Club, Bogdan Radenković, Social Media Manager at Xiaomi Balkan and Smiljana Milojković, Regional GTM Manager at Xiaomi Balkan.
For continuous support and realization of the High School Case Competition 2021 we express special thanks to Professor Milan Martić, Dean of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences and to all other members of the Dean’s Collegium.
The winners of the High School Case Competition for 2021 is the team Conquerors, which was consisted of Milica Jovanović, Jovana Prvulović, Petra Stojiljković, high school students from Zaječar Gymnasium and Staša Milenković, a student from the Medical School Zaječar.
Team Invictus with its representatives, Filip Mančić, Strahinja Azarić, Ivana Bjelinić i Danko Zlatković from the Electrical Engineering School Nikola Tesla Belgrade took the second postiion.
The third place went to the team Elite, whose members were Anđela Ruta Stanču from the Fourteenth Belgrade Gymnasium, Luka Papak and Milica Novičić from the Fifth Belgrade Gymnasium and Lara Odavić from the Third Belgrade Gymnasium.
