Today the Faculty of Organizational Sciences celebrated Faculty Day and the 50th anniversary of the beginning of classes at FOS.
At 10:00 am, in the Faculty Library, a graduation ceremony was held for the best students rewarding exceptional results achieved during their studies. Associate professor Dušan Savić, Vice Dean for Undergraduated Studies rewarded the students for this occasion.
At 12.00 pm, in the Faculty Library, the President of the Council Professor Vesna Bogojević Arsić and the Dean of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Professor Milan Martić handed over the awards for work and commitment to the employees who celebrate the jubilee of their engagement at FOS.
Starting at 03.00 pm, on the youtube channel of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, a video content prepared especially for this occasion was broadcasted.
At the very beginning, the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Milan Martić, who on his own behalf and on behalf of all employees and students of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences greeted the listeners and congratulated the celebration of the Faculty Day and the 50th anniversary of the beginning of classes. The Dean then referred to the years that were important for the creation and development of the Faculty, which, as the youngest member of the University of Belgrade, today enjoys the status of one of the leading faculties of BU. The Dean stated that last year the Faculty submitted to the Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance the documentation for accreditation of 21 study program, that the existing programs were significantly improved and that several new ones were proposed, emphasizing that the new accreditation will be the foundation of successful future development.
After the speech of the Dean, Professor Milija Suknović greeted the viewers and pointed out some of the important achievements the Faculty has managed to attain in the previous period, which is above all a great commitment to improving working conditions and opening a Research and Development Center, as well as completing reconstruction of the IT Center and implementing a new software which process test results for both, undergraduate and master studies. Also, Professor Suknović pointed out his satisfaction with the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, which recognized FOS as the leading educational and scientific research institution, to provide funds for the realization of a new building whose completion is planned for December this year.
For this occasion, the rector of the University of Belgrade, Professor Vladan Đokić was invited to greet the viewers, who on his own behalf and on behalf of all employees in the Rectorate wished a happy celebration of the Faculty Day.
The Faculty is internationally oriented, and with the support of the Erasmus and CEPUS programs as well as the bilateral cooperation programs, the number of foreign students attending classes at FOS has been growing over the years. For this occasion, students from France, Germany and Mexico greeted the spectators and congratulated the celebration of the Day of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences.
The Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development, Mr Branko Ruzić, saluted the audience and congratulated them on the jubilee celebration, emphasizing the satisfaction of cooperation with one of the leading institutions of this country in the field of Information Systems and Technologies and Management and Organization and wished success in the further development and education of quality staff while maintaining a high standard, good environment and favorable working conditions.
This event was followed with the content prepared by the students of the FOS, members of Student Organizations, referring to the success and numerous realized projects which, with the great engagement and support of the Faculty, they can proudly boast about.
At the end, the listeners were greeted by the Alumni Students of the Faculty, today young people employed at attractive positions of large domestic and foreign companies, who are the great representatives of the results Faculty has achieved over the years and that position it high on the map of higher education institutions.
