Danube Cup is an annual competition in validated entrepreneurial ideas that brings together students and entrepreneurial teams from eight universities along the Danube. The aim of the competition is to support international entrepreneurship and encourage collaboration among academic communities and entrepreneurial ecosystems of different universities in the Danube region.
Artemi is an innovative mobile platform video game that allows players to conquer territories by moving to specific locations in the real world, combining physical activity and digital entertainment. What sets Artemi apart from similar games on the market is its focus on individual competition in territory conquest, along with building a player community and fostering friendships through easily understandable mini-games. At this year’s Danube Cup, the team stood out not only with their idea but also with a well-developed long-term business plan as well as a game enhancement plan ensuring that Artemi remains engaging and dynamic for users.
Both Artemi and Movably are supported by the project Preduzmi ideju and the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, where student entrepreneurial ideas are developed through the core academic course Entrepreneurship and several other mandatory or elective courses. Additionally, within the premises of the Research and Development Centre of the Faculty, students can receive mentoring support, workspace, and various other forms of assistance and networking with the existing entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Artemi team, as part of the Preduzmi ideju, was supported by mentorship from Prof. Slađana Barjaktarević Rakočević, PhD, and Ognjen Nikolić, MSc, while during the competition, the team was mentored by Prof. Mladen Čudanov, PhD, from the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Organizational Sciences. More details about the competition along with the announcement of the winners can be found on the Danubecup.eu website.
