Members of the Case Study Club (Faculty of Organizational Sciences), Miloš Mihajlija, Tamara Đorđević, Mina Petrović and Milica Đerić, have won the Third place at World Competition Rotterdam / Carleton International Case Competition 2021, under the mentorship of professor Slavica Cicvarić Kostić and professor Vesna Damnjanović.
The competition was organized by the University of Carleton (Canada), from October 24-30, 2021. Students from the Case Study Club (FOS) competed against renowned world universities and business schools from five continents.
Competitors had to solve three case studies from various industries during the six day competition. The first case study was for the company Bridgehead Coffee, where our students showcased their knowledge and skills.
Bridgehead Coffee is a chain of caffees and coffee shops from Ottawa, the capital of Canada, focused on sustainable development and nurturing of the local community. The task for our students was to determine the strategy and expansion plan, while addressing the needs of the target group, responsibility towards the local community and suppliers, and ecological effects.
The team was praised for precisely defining the problem, creative solution, and well thought out expansion strategy, which was defined and presented in the context of sustainable development and in line with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Thanks to their effective presentation, as well as answers during the Q&A session, our students secured the path to the final round as First ranked in their division.
In the finals, they won the Bronze medal, while the First place went to Erasmus University, Rotterdam School of Management, and second place to BI Norwegian Business School.
We congratulate to our students for their great results!
