Within the collaboration between the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Organizational Sciences and the Berlin School of Economics and Law, the first COIL project has been launched on the topic “Data Analysis in Finance and Marketing,” funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The project began with a visit by FON’s professors and students to the partner institution in Berlin, which took place from 28 October to 1 November, 2024. The FON student team was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Milica Maričić, along with colleague Nikola Drinjak, and consisted of eight undergraduate students: Minja Vasiljević, Andreja Vasić, Mia Agić, Danica Živković, Vanja Simović, Katarina Ilić, Pavle Grujić, and Slavko Anisijević.
The aim of this visit was to initiate the joint work of professors and students from both institutions on enhancing data analytics knowledge and skills in finance and marketing. The visit included classes co-taught by Professor Dr. Frank Brand and Assistant Professor Dr. Milica Maričić, group work, as well as an introduction to the case study that students will be working on in teams over the next two months. During the five-day stay, professors and students had the opportunity to collaborate in advanced data analytics workshops, participate in social activities, and visit the Berlin Startup Incubator, the German Parliament building, and the Humboldt Forum.
The return visit of students from Berlin to Belgrade is scheduled for January 2025.
