A group of authors led by Professor Dr. John P.A. Ioannidis from Stanford University has published the latest list of the most influential researchers in the world. The list is compiled based on bibliometric data from the Scopus database. The Stanford list is created based on standardized citation information as well as a range of other parameters that demonstrate how influential a scientist’s work is within the academic community.
The list includes scientists from all scientific disciplines, and the ranking methodology is based on a greater number of criteria, among which the most significant are the number of independent scientific papers, the number of papers where the scientist is the first author, the number of citations of those papers, the H-index, and others.
Data is presented for influence throughout the entire career, as well as influence over the course of one year.
This year, three professors from the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Organizational Sciences made it onto the list: Prof. Dr. Vladan Devedžić, Prof. Dr. Jelena Jovanović, and Prof. Dr. Dragan Pamučar.
Congratulations to our professors, and we wish them much success and achievement in their upcoming research endeavors.
