The program, which is being held at FON for the second time, is dedicated to developing leaders and management talents in an international environment within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative. This event brought together a delegation of esteemed professors from Shandong and Hohai Universities in China, as well as representatives from the academic community and industries in Serbia and China. The purpose of the visit was to exchange knowledge and experience in talent development, curriculum enhancement, and joint scientific research projects.
The delegation from Shandong and Hohai Universities was welcomed by representatives of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences’ leadership, Full Professor Vesna Damnjanović, PhD, President of the Faculty Council, and Full Professor Sandra Jednak, PhD, Vice Dean for International Cooperation at FON. Following the welcome, the delegation had the opportunity to learn about the possibilities for bilateral cooperation between Serbia and China through a presentation by Ms. Svetlana Bogdanović, a representative of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia. As part of the program, participants had organized meetings with FON professors, while the representatives from Shandong and Hohai Universities held a meeting with the Vice Rector for International Cooperation of the University of Belgrade, Full Professor Nebojša Bojović, PhD.
This multi-day program included a panel discussion with representatives of Chinese companies operating in Serbia, such as Huawei, Shandong Hi-Speed, Power China, and Zijing Mining, aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between Serbia and China. Participants were also introduced to a project by the Institute of International Politics and Economics. On that occasion, Ivona Lađevac, PhD, together with her colleagues from the institute, presented opportunities for collaboration between the two countries.
The “X-Cultural Leadership and Cultivation of Internationalized High-End Management Talents” program represents a significant step toward improving relations between Serbia and China, particularly in the fields of education, human resource development, and economic cooperation. The program is designed to promote leadership, innovation, and highly skilled professionals, contributing to the long-term development of both Serbia and the countries involved in the “Belt and Road” initiative. With numerous academic and business meetings, as well as the promotion of Serbian culture and tradition, this event strengthens the connection between Serbia and China, creating a foundation for future projects and cooperation between the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Shandong University, and Hohai University.
The Faculty of Organizational Sciences has a signed cooperation agreement with the Business School of Hohai University, and this visit marks just one step in the future collaboration between these two institutions.
