Introductory words by FON's Dean

The Faculty of Organizational Sciences (FON), a part of the University of Belgrade, is one of the most modernly organized faculties in the region. In the midst of intense changes, FON has become a leading and referential educational and scientific institution in the fields of information systems and technologies, as well as management and organization.

FON was founded in 1969 and on 28 November, 1970 the University of Belgrade Council decided to incorporate the Faculty of Organizational Sciences into the University of Belgrade. FON was officially inaugurated on 4 November, 1971. With a tradition spanning 54 years, FON currently educates over 7,000 students across 24 study programs at the undergraduate, master's, specialist, and doctoral levels. All study programs implemented at FON have a strong quantitative and IT background combined with organizational and specific knowledge tailored to the study programs. The professional title of "Engineer of Organizational Sciences" awarded by the Faculty falls within the domain of technical and technological sciences. The strategic goal of the Faculty is to establish and develop collaboration with national higher education institutions, but also international organizations and foundations. The Faculty practices openness, intensive communication with its environment, and continuous international cooperation, while the University of Belgrade implements a unique policy to consistently enhance the quality of programs and improve research activities.

The Development Strategy of FON

The Development strategy of FON for the period 2023-2033 represents the most significant multi-year strategic and planning document guiding the institution’s developmental direction. Throughout all phases of drafting this document, an intensive consultative process was conducted, involving various stakeholders such as faculty bodies, teaching and professional staff, student organization representatives, students, representatives of founders, and others.
